According to reports by Al Jazeera, Nigerian security forces have recorded a major breakthrough in the fight against terrorism, successfully rescuing 360 abductees from Boko Haram captivity in Borno State.
This represents a significant victory for Nigeria's security agencies and a moment of hope for the rescued victims, their families, and communities that have endured years of terrorist violence.
Kudos to the Armed Forces of Nigeria for their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to protecting lives and defending the nation. Congratulations also to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, the Minister of Defense, Gen. Christopher Musa (Rtd) and the Chief of Defense Staff, General Oluyede, as well as all military personnel involved in this operation.
While challenges remain, every successful rescue weakens the grip of terrorism and strengthens the resolve of the Nigerian state. The nation must continue to support those on the frontlines who risk their lives daily to secure our future.
Stories of progress and sacrifice often receive less attention than stories of crisis, but achievements such as this deserve recognition.
Nigeria will continue to prevail against terrorism and against those who seek to undermine her peace, unity, and stability- Minister of Information Muhammed Idris Malagi
